Dave Holland, bass legend who started his career with Miles Davis, Stan Getz, Sam Rivers and Anthony Braxton, finally returns to Moldejazz with a new supetrio at the intersection of jazz and Indian music. The last time Holland was in Molde was when he was Artist In Residence in 2011. Dave Holland has more than fifty years of career behind and has won a number of Grammy prizes.

The Indian tabla player Zakir Hussain hit the West as a member of John McLaughlin's band Shakti, and has since played with Shankar, Jan Garbarek, Charles Lloyd and many more. The saxophonist Chris Potter is described by many as perhaps the greatest surviving jazz saxophonist. - A robust improviser and the youngest musician to win Denmark's Jazzpar award. He has performed or recorded with many of the leading names in jazz, such as Herbie Hancock, John Scofield, Mingus Big Band, Jim Hall, Paul Motian, Dave Douglas, Ray Brown and many others. Together, these three constitute a trio that transcends musical borders and showers the audience with creative music performed with joy!
