Ytre Suløens Jazz Ensemble
Last year's program presentation of Ytre Suløen stated: "When Moldejazz opens a new tradjazz offer in the Magic Mirror tent at Rådhusplassen, nothing is more natural than the band that has Norway's record in Moldejazz performances take the honor of being first!" .

Ytre Sulen released a new album in 2017 and Tor Hammerø wrote in his review: - The band is as vital and sparkling as it always has been, but with some more modern impulses included than before. It is also reflected in the repertoire, which captures songs from both Cannonball Adderley, Andrea Crouch and Wynton Marsalis, but still with traditional gospel songs and title songs by Tricia Uncle John Boutté, and Einar Aarø's tribute to his late life companion, "Dirge for Christian". Banjoist Aarø is the only original member of Ytre Suløens start-up in 1973.
Moldejazz continues the good tradition of combining food and tradjazz. Molde’s own Calle Fegth serves tasteful Jambalaya in the best Creole tradition. Like last year, the tickets are sold both with and without food and the food service begins at 18.30, while the music starts at 20.00, an hour earlier than in 2017!
